Title: 3D Printing

Notetaker: Jerlee Bahm

The process of creating a three-dimensional objects from digital file using a materials printer, in a manner similar to printing images on a paper. It creates real, solid objects from digital data. This technology finds use in the fields of jewelry, footwear, industrial design, architecture, engineering and construction (AEC), automotive, aerospace, dental and medical industries, education, geographic information systems, civil engineering, and many others. 3D printing is an additive technology in which objects are built up in layers and usually over several hours. Most 3D printers can now print with plastics.
